The three PLENTICOINs required to activate the storage function must be ordered separately.
Combination with components from the previous HVS series is not possible.
The new BYD Energy app with the latest firmware (from V1.28.0) is required for commissioning.
The RJ45 terminating connector for the data bus included in the scope of delivery must be pre-assembled on site. To do this, a wire jumper must be inserted and crimped between pins 1 and 6 (view from above onto the flat connector side with the pin contact surfaces, cable entry facing down, pins ascending from left to right). An actual resistor is not required.
HVS+/HVM+ and Kostal: approved by the manufacturers on both sides
This combination will liven things up. The flexible single-phase Kostal Plenticore MP G3 series with the proprietary PLENTICOIN currency and the new BYD HVM+ high-voltage storage system. For inverters with the S and M device variants, higher performance classes, storage utilization, and intelligent connection to the EV charger can be activated using PLENTICOINs – at any time. The new HVM* series from BYD, in addition to its proven features and key data, has an improved BCU. This can be used flexibly for the storage modules of the HVB, HVS+, and HVM+ series. The new automatic SOC balancing optimizer eliminates the need for manual adjustment of the charge level during initial installation and expansion. The revised BCU connection management with connectors at the power and communication levels saves even more valuable time during installation.

Adaptations without PLENTICOINs:
The power expansion for version S and the base power for version M are freely selectable to a limited extent, for example, to comply with local grid connection requirements (version M with 4.6 instead of 5.0 kVA according to VDE-AR-N 4105 in Germany).

Increase by one power class (1 level) within the S / M device series: 1 PLENTICOIN
Increase to maximum power (2 levels) within the M device series: 1+1 PLENTICOIN
