This BCU is not compatible with the storage modules of the HVS + HVM series.
The new BYD Energy app with the latest firmware (from V1.28.0) is required for commissioning.
Currently announced release dates (actual release to be confirmed) for Fronius: Q4/2025.
Country release for Italy is still pending.
The RJ45 terminating connector for the data bus included in the scope of delivery must be fully assembled on site. To do this, a wire jumper must be inserted and crimped between pins 1 and 6 (viewed from above onto the flat connector side with the pin contact surfaces, cable entry facing down, pins ascending from left to right). An actual resistor is not required.
HVS+/HVM+ are approved by both manufacturers for use with Kostal and GoodWe.
The new HV-BCU from BYD is the one-fits-all version for the storage modules of the HVB, HVS+ and HVM+ series. It can be used flexibly with all 3 systems. The new automatic SOC balancing optimiser eliminates the need to manually adjust the charge level during initial installation and expansion. The revised connection management with connectors at the power and communication level saves further valuable time during installation. The configuration of the system is also made easier with a new installer app. At the same time, there is also an end customer app for convenient system monitoring.
