Combination with components from the previous HVM series is not possible.
The included RJ45 terminating connector for the data bus must be pre-assembled on-site. To do this, a wire jumper must be inserted and crimped between pins 1 and 6 (view from above onto the flat connector side with the pin contact surfaces, cable entry facing down, pins ascending from left to right). An actual resistor is not required.
The second generation of the GoodWe ET-20 hybrid series ranges from 6 to 15 kW and is ideal for a wide range of residential applications. As the successor to the previous ET+ line, this model incorporates numerous additions and improvements. With an input current of 16 amperes per MPP tracker—a proven standard—the system supports the connection of all current module series. It comes fully equipped with an integrated smart meter (including 3 CTs), a communication dongle, AC/DC surge protection, and AFCI arc fault detection. The reliable backup port ensures an uninterrupted power supply to selected circuits. This system is designed to pair with the new BYD HVM+ series. Thanks to a new BCU, the system offers flexible compatibility with battery modules from the HVB, HVS+, and HVM+ series. A new automatic SOC balancing optimizer eliminates the need for manual state-of-charge adjustments during initial installation or system expansion. Additionally, the redesigned BCU connection management—featuring plug-in connectors for both power and communication—saves valuable installation time. Product advantages:
