When using the connectors supplied with the BCU 2.0, make sure you use a suitable crimping tool and work correctly in accordance with the BYD instructions.
The RJ45 termination plug for the data bus included in the scope of delivery must be finished on site. To do this, insert a wire bridge between pins 1 + 6 (viewed from above on the flat side of the plug with the pin contact surfaces, cable entry at the bottom, pins ascending from left to right) and crimp it. No actual resistor is required.
The tried-and-tested HVS and HVM high-voltage series from BYD have been given a practical update with the new BCU 2.0. The previous removal of the cover plate to connect the communication and power cables has been completely eliminated thanks to external plug-in ports. Standard RJ45 sockets and MC4 connectors now allow faster and easier installation.
