Security incident related to PHP
We responded quickly. No action is required from you.
On 21 October 2026, the German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) issued a public warning about critical vulnerabilities in PHP that could affect web applications worldwide. The BSI recommended that operators install the available security updates without delay and monitor potentially affected systems more closely. To protect our systems and customer data as effectively as possible, we temporarily took the Krannich webshops offline for several hours as a precautionary measure.
What happened?
After the critical PHP vulnerabilities became known, we responded immediately and implemented the following measures:
- We temporarily took our webshops offline as a precaution.
- We installed the required security updates.
- We subsequently checked the systems.
- We brought the webshops back online only after these measures had been completed.
What does this mean for you?
Our review confirmed that:
- There was no identified unauthorised access to customer data.
- No data was lost.
- The webshops were unavailable for only a few hours.
- No action is required from you.
Our webshops are available again
Following the required security updates and checks, the Krannich webshops were brought back online and can be used as usual.
