The CM-UFD.M31 is a multifunctional grid monitoring relay for feed-in systems. It meets the requirements of VDE-AR-N 4105 and BDEW guidelines and offers comprehensive monitoring functions for secure grid feed-in. The device monitors overvoltage and undervoltage (including 10-minute average value, voltage rise and voltage drop protection) as well as overfrequency and underfrequency (frequency rise and frequency drop protection). In the event of a fault – for example, grid instability, disturbances or maintenance work – the CM-UFD.M31 triggers the system switch connected between the decentralised generation system and the public grid. This reliably disconnects the feed-in from the grid. In addition, the device can be configured to monitor ROCOF (rate of change of frequency) and vector shift to ensure even greater grid security.
