The BCU has already been put into service and shows signs of wear and scratches.
This BCU is not compatible with the HVS + HVM series storage modules.
The new BYD Energy app with the latest firmware (version 1.28.0 or later) is required for commissioning.
The Italian market approval currently only applies in combination with Kostal inverters.
The included RJ45 termination connector for the data bus requires on-site assembly. This involves inserting and crimping a wire bridge between pins 1 and 6 (viewed from above on the flat side of the connector with the pin contact surfaces, cable entry facing downwards, pins ascending from left to right). No actual resistor is required.
The new HV-BCU from BYD is the one-fits-all version for the storage modules of the HVB, HVS+ and HVM+ series. It can be used flexibly with all 3 systems. The new automatic SOC balancing optimiser eliminates the need to manually adjust the charge level during initial installation and expansion. The revised connection management with connectors at the power and communication level saves further valuable time during installation. The configuration of the system is also made easier with a new installer app. At the same time, there is also an end customer app for convenient system monitoring.
