For more than four storage modules, a second enclosure and the expansion kit are required. Battery modules can only be installed and expanded in pairs.
For backup functionality, including integration of a PV inverter*, the sonnenProtect 8000 Box is also required.
The Sonnen performance system is the smart energy control center for home energy storage applications. It can be flexibly combined with new or existing PV systems and, optionally, with the sonnenProtect 8000 Box, can also be used for backup power*. The usable storage capacity ranges from 10 to 50 kWh and can be expanded indefinitely. The system can be cascaded up to nine times, making it suitable for larger applications as well.
